The client approached us with the task of urgently restoring accounting records for three years. The company had not kept records since its registration, some of the primary documentation had been lost, and internal processes were not organized. We formed a proactive team of accountants, conducted an audit of the remaining documents, and restored more than 10,000 transactions. Documentary matching (invoices, contracts, correspondence) was performed for each of them, and a structured accounting database was built.

The client had an unclear situation regarding VAT obligations, while UAE legislation did not provide direct regulation applicable to his type of activity. We developed a legal and accounting position, prepared and supported a request for private clarification to the Federal Tax Authority (FTA), negotiated and provided additional clarifications at the request of the regulator.

The client received a binding clarification from the FTA confirming its right to a specific tax position. The document is binding and eliminates the risks of independent interpretation. The VAT issue was settled in favor of the client, which allowed avoiding potential tax losses.

The client decided to abandon outsourcing the preparation and submission of VAT declarations in favor of independent reporting by the internal accountant. We conducted an individual consultation, developed a step-by-step text memo on filing a declaration in the FTA system, recorded a training video on filling in the fields and accounting for typical transactions. We also explained how to correctly make corrections and recalculations.
